Single freight car consignments can be ordered with the utmost flexibility in terms of the schedule, the quantities and the routes. You can order a shipment up to two hours before collection. And if you change your plans, you can cancel or rebook your order free of charge.

Right from the start, when we make you an offer, we will give you an unambiguous specification of the regular transit time for your transports. This means you can plan ahead with greater confidence.

As far as possible, and in coordination with your logistics, we offer loading deadlines of at least eight hours. This enables you to manage the loading and unloading of the freight cars with flexibility. Our logistics services can easily be integrated with your own processes. And our wide range of special equipment is capable of coping with any transport requirements.

Tracking and tracing and proactive information

You can follow your shipments online at our new RSO internet portal. That way you never lose sight of them. RSO moreover includes many other useful functions.

Without charging you extra, we offer you proactive customer information, provided that the volume of your order meets certain criteria. This service will inform you as the consignor, by phone, fax or e-mail, as soon as the time of arrival you have specified can no longer be adhered to. At the same time we will tell you the new estimated time of arrival.

Flexible area-wide coverage

We give you the benefit of one of the world's biggest open production systems. If you have varying quantities to transport, on the widest variety of different routes, you are unlikely to find anyone to equal Railion's flexibility and area-wide coverage.

On this network we have something like 50,000 freight cars in operation every day. We collect consignments from around 4000 sidings, and serve some 1400 freight transport centers. In Germany alone we cover a track network that extends over 35,000 kilometers. In addition to this, our national single freight car system is linked to the systems of other European railroads.
