In 2008, Railion Danmark was converted into the production joint venture Railion Scandinavia. Since May 2008, 51% of the shares have been held by Railion Deutschland GmbH, the remaining 49% by the Swedish freight railway Green Cargo. These parent companies will now use Railion Scandinavia for all transports involving Denmark. In addition to the production company, Railion has also established a sales company, Railion Danmark Services, which is wholly owned by Railion Deutschland GmbH.

The employees of Railion Danmark Services are responsible for customer care in Denmark, the organization of forwarding services for Railion Deutschland and Green Cargo, and also assume the function of operator for the Danish single wagonload network. Both companies are based in the Greater Copenhagen Area. Within the Railion alliance, this company is the fast Railion bridge to Scandinavia and also serves the Danish economic centers.
