Railion Schweiz was set up in May 2007, evolving from the private Brunner Railway Services following its acquisition by Railion Deutschland AG. With this new freight railway, Railion gained a foothold in single wagon traffic in Switzerland.

Railion Schweiz closes the gap between Germany and Italy in the Railion Group, offering local zone operations and marshaling yard services across the country, in addition to unit-train traffic.

Thus, Railion Schweiz complements the existing cooperation with BLS Cargo, in which Railion Deutschland AG has a 20 percent stake, and helps to further develop Railion’s peerless European network.
