GPS supports international tracking and tracing

More than 50 percent of our shipments cross national frontiers. So as to be able to give you comprehensive information, even about international shipments, we have equipped 13,000 freight cars with GPS (Global Positioning System) facilities. The GPS devices communicate over the mobile network, telling us about the current location of the shipment and the state of the car and the load.
